What is Science Speak?

Science Speak spreads recent scientific news in the fields of Biology and Environmental Science in a concise, easy to understand manner that shows the true beauty of these subjects. Its mission is to show that even though they may be complicated, they don't necessarily need to be daunting to learn about.

Breakthroughs in the scientific world happen every single day with research that has the opportunity to affect thousands if not millions of people worldwide. This progress should be talked about by many, however due to many fields in STEM being seen as "intimidating," it is not. Research can be difficult for many to look through and understand, leading to many of these breakthroughs to go unnoticed. This lack of awareness for important scientific news and research can sometimes be dangerous, encouraging the spread of misinformation about various issues. 

Science Speak aims to counter this intimidation many feel around scientific research, allowing it to be more accessible to more people. Reporting every other Sunday, Science Speak will publish some of the latest developments in the world of STEM, covering everything from Climate Change to Medical Breakthroughs, allowing people to read and understand research in a more accessible fashion.
